Unfortunately, there were no wandering gypsy bands playing an odd assortment of folk music; Turkish, Kurdish, Russian... and there were also no belly dancers, professional or amateur. But despite it being Eid, there were still diners and shops were open for business. First stop, the fish market...
Second stop, dinner. Specialties of Istanbul: levrek (sea bass) and çupra (sea bream) are plentiful. Also available are mussels, prawns, etc.... But Kumkapı being popular among Istanbul natives and Turkish tourists, dinner doesn't come cheap.
